About Fresh Water Ministries (FWMI)
Originally incorporated in 2001, Fresh Water Ministries, International exists to equip the committed people of God to fulfill their Divine Destinies. FWMI strives to fulfil this mission through the planting, establishing and oversight of local Churches and institutions of Christian Education both in the USA and abroad.
The ministry name was changed to "Fresh Water Ministries, International" in 2004, reflecting what we believe was a Divine directive from the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2002, while preaching at a church in northwest Arkansas, Rev. Jefferson K. Thompson was heard speaking in tongues by a member of the congregation who recognized the language as her native Spanish. After writing down the phrase that Rev. Thompson had been speaking, and the English translation, Sis. Kaye Ruiz presented the paper to Rev. Thompson at the close of the service. Written on the paper was the phrase

"Fresh Water For All The World"
Rev. Thompson later shared this unusual and exciting event with his dear friend Rev. Joe Jordan. Immediately the Spirit of God moved upon Rev. Jordan, who prophesied, "Son, this is the new motto for your ministry." From that point Revs. Jeff and Linda Thompson began moving toward consolidating the various aspects of their ministry under the name
"Fresh Water."
